BDC updates Rotary on upcoming projects

Oct. 19. 2020 – The Business Development Corp. of the Northern Panhandle partners with organizations like Construction Junction, a salvage and upcycling center based in Pittsburgh, to make the most of available resources. Additionally, the BDC makes use of a revolving loan fund to keep projects coming into the hopper and moving forward. Upcoming projects include the redevelopment of the former Weirton Daily Times building as a training center for certified welders with specialized skills. The adjacent Magnone building will be torn down to create a parking area. The BDC is also working on further development of Park Drive. They are in the preliminary stages of planning a subdivision, have had variances approved, and secured the necessary permits to move forward.
